What it performs

CheckOS reads from a selected computer:

• Operating system version
• Service luggage
• Installed Hotfixes

Prerequisites

Prerequisites for the use of CheckOS is a Windows network with domain structure. An Active Directory based on a Windows 2000/2003 domain controller is ideal, but no "must be".

CheckOS must be installed on a computer running Windows XP. It should have been installed the latest service pack and it must have been integrated into the domain.

For installation and use an account with domain administration rights is necessary. For being able to read out the OS parameters the computers have to be a domain member. Further the running OS has to be Windows 2000, XP or Windows 2003.
